WHAT: London Men’s Baseball League Annual Banquet and General Meeting

WHEN: 7-10pm, Friday, October 4, 2002

WHERE: Amber Lounge, Labatt Brewery. Parking: Guest Parking Lot on Richmond

WHO: LMBL players, umpires, scorekeepers, sponsors, and guests

WHY: This is your chance to have a say in how your league runs, and of course have a great time!

COST: No charge for sponsors, Pre-registered players, umpires and scorekeepers. $15 for guests.

AGENDA

  1. 6:30-7:00: Show up, grab some snacks, find a table, look at some stats, talk about the season!
  2. 7:00: Bar opens! Have a beer, a Boomerang, a pop or a glass of wine courtesy of the LMBL and Labatt’s.

    3. Housekeeping (coats, parking, washrooms, bar rules, telephone, smoking)
  3. 7:30-8:00: Finger food! Raffle prizes (gift certs, 2003 registration fee, stuff, etc).
  4. 8:00-8:30: League and Team awards. Managers’ messages. Umpires’ message.
  5. 8:30-8:35: Treasurer's Report.
  6. 8:35-8:50: President’s Message. Thank you sponsors, umpires, scorekeepers, managers, executive and fans.

    7. Our 11th year has been ……….

    8:50 – 9:30: General meeting. So, now it’s your turn to speak! Open forum for comments, questions and complaints. Warning: if you have a complaint, you better also have a solution! Topics: Steel spikes, midweek games/open practices, tournaments, playoff formats, comp vs rec, training/skills sessions, length of games, mercy rule, directory of services( player name, org/company name, phone, email)

  7. 9:30-9:45: Elections. All positions are open, however only President, Past President (must have been a President of LMBL in the past), Vice President and Treasurer are elected (in the order listed) at this meeting. Managers are elected at Team meetings to be held on or before February 2, 2003. Managers elected as one of the above are encouraged to find a replacement manager for their team.
  8. Tentative Date of Next Executive Meeting: Monday, February 3, 2002.
  9. 10:00: Bar closes and Meeting is adjourned. See you all in 2003!
