Why do we only use 2 new balls at each game? ...Because we have the greatest fans in the world! We don't get sellouts or standing room only crowds, but we do have dedicated, energetic and cheering fans and helpful bat boys and girls at every game.

When an errant foul ball goes out of play and into the bushes, the race is on to retrieve it. Young and old alike join in the chase. Quite often I've seen more great plays outside the field of play than in! Our guys could learn a lot from the fans in the hustle category.

It may not seem like much, but every shiny white pearl retrieved represents 6 dollars saved. Our league is financially sound, but only because we spend wisely and save where we can.

So here's a great big THANK YOU to all our fans!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologize to any of our fans who have had to witness inappropriate language or actions from some of our players (that includes me as well) during a tense moment on the field or on the bench. We appreciate you coming out and will endeavour to act like gentlemen both on and off the field.
