2002 Playoff Format............
Your LMBL Executive is working hard to find parks and dates for you to play. Blaine Burns (our President and Convenor) is talking to various parks and is booking fields as we speak. Times, dates and locations are listed on the Schedule. Your Manager will keep you updated if, and when, changes occur. When in doubt, check with your Manager.
Are we going back to a double-knockout this year? ...Yes, Yes Yes! Each team is guaranteed 2 games. You could end up playing as many as 6 games.
For the First Round Only, the top 4 teams in the Regular Season are declared Home Team. For all subsequent rounds, Home Team is decided by a coin flip between the opposing managers.
First Round
- Game 57: 8th place at 1st place
- Game 58: 7th place at 2nd place
- Game 59: 6th place at 3rd place
- Game 60: 5th place at 4th place
Second Round
- Game 61: Winner of Game 57 vs Winner of Game 60
- Game 62: Winner of Game 58 vs Winner of Game 59
- Game 63: Loser of Game 57 vs Loser of Game 60
- Game 64: Loser of Game 58 vs Loser of Game 59
Third Round
- Game 65: Winner of Game 61 vs Winner of Game 62
- Game 66: Loser of Game 62 vs Winner of Game 63
- Game 67: Winner of Game 64 vs Loser of Game 61
Fourth Round
- Game 68: Winner of Game 65 vs Winner of Game 66
Note: If Winner of Game 65 loses Game 68, they get a bye in the Fifth Round and go directly to the Final Round (Game 71)
- Game 69: Loser of Game 65 vs Winner of Game 67
Fifth Round
- Game 70: Winner of Game 68 vs Winner of Game 69
Note: If Winner of Game 70 is unbeaten, they are declared Champions as all other teams would have lost 2 games.
Final Round (If Necessary)
- Game 71: Winner of Game 70 vs (Loser of Game 70 or Winner of Game 65)
Note: Winner of Game 71 is declared Champions and gets served last at the Banquet!
